What We Do

The Wharton Social Impact Club organizes numerous events for club members, providing opportunities to connect with potential employers, learn from experienced practitioners, and network with like-minded people. We organize various types of events throughout the year. For more information on what we do, visit our Facebook Group page here.

Impactful Thursdays Lunch & Learn Sessions

Nearly every Thursday during the academic year we host a lunchtime informational session with speakers or panels on social impact topics, rotated through by sector.

Employer Information Sessions

Together with the Wharton Career Management Office, we  facilitate information sessions with employers offering internship and/or full-time job opportunities across various social impact-related sectors.

Career Treks

Together with the Wharton Career Management Office, we  facilitate information sessions with employers offering internship and/or full-time job opportunities across various social impact-related sectors. We lead career treks with small groups of students to enable more intimate interactions with social impact organizations.

Wharton Social Impact Conference

The Wharton Social Impact Conference is organized by the Wharton Social Impact Initiative, the MBA Wharton Social Impact Club, and students from the Executive MBA program. The conference brings together a community of corporate social “change-makers," social entrepreneurs, impact investors, nonprofit and government executives, philanthropists, and university students with the shared vision of driving social change.

Wharton Social Impact Week

Wharton Social Impact Week (WSIW) is a week-long engagement of the broader Wharton community that aims to increase the student body's awareness of social responsibility. By attending WSIW events, Wharton students gain a better understanding of what players in fields such as finance, CSR, and international development are having social impact, and how they can become more impactful leaders. In partnership with nearly a dozen other Wharton clubs, WSIW is comprised of a range of events including professional speakers, panels, and small group meals with University of Pennsylvania faculty and administration.

Social Events

Throughout the year, we organize a number of social events for members, including happy hours, small group dinners, and joint events with other Wharton clubs.
